How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

How many dogs are in the pattern and are they all border collies?

There are twelve hand-painted dogs in total. Most read clearly as border collies — black-and-white coats, alert ears, classic markings — and a couple lean toward tri-colour collie or scruffy sheepdog. They sit among small pink, mustard and sage wildflowers on a clean off-white ground.

Is this too busy for a small nursery wall?

The off-white background does a lot of the work, so the pattern feels lighter than it sounds. In a small nursery, hang it on its own on a plain painted wall and skip patterned wallpaper or other illustrated prints. At medium size it reads as one friendly focal point rather than visual clutter.

Does it work in a grown-up room or only for kids?

It can work in a family kitchen, a dog-lover's home office or a hallway, especially above a painted sideboard or low console. The style is hand-painted rather than cartoonish, so it doesn't read as strictly childish — but it's clearly character-led, so quiet, minimal rooms may find it too much.
