Are floral pattern art prints a good choice for a bedroom?
They're one of the best choices you can make. Floral pattern prints bring a sense of calm and visual softness that works brilliantly above a bed or on the wall opposite it. We'd suggest a large framed print (60x80cm or bigger) in muted tones like dusty pinks, sage greens, or warm creams to anchor the room without competing with your bedding. Our framed prints arrive ready to hang with UV-protective glazing, so you won't get fading even if your bedroom gets strong morning light.
How big should a floral pattern print be for above a sofa?
For a standard UK three-seater sofa, you want a print that covers roughly two-thirds of the sofa's width, which usually means going for a 70x100cm landscape print as a minimum. Anything smaller and it'll look like an afterthought floating on the wall. A single large floral pattern art print makes a much stronger statement than a cluster of small ones in this spot. Our art prints go up to 70x100cm framed, which is the sweet spot for this kind of placement.
Are floral prints still in style?
Floral prints have never really gone away, but the way people use them has shifted. Right now the trend is towards bold, graphic floral patterns and vintage botanical designs rather than the delicate chintz of the past. Think oversized blooms with rich colour, or detailed botanical pattern art prints that feel more like a study than a decoration. If you pick something with strong composition and considered colour, a floral print won't date. It's the mass-produced, overly trendy stuff that ages badly.
Should I go for a vintage or modern floral pattern print?
It depends on what your room already has going on. If your space leans traditional with warm woods and textured fabrics, vintage floral pattern prints with muted palettes and fine linework will feel like they belong. If your room is more pared-back with clean lines and neutral walls, modern floral art prints with bolder colour and graphic compositions will add energy without clashing. The frame finish matters here too: our natural oak frame suits vintage florals beautifully, while black or white frames give modern designs a sharper edge.
What's the difference between floral pattern prints and botanical art prints?
Floral pattern art prints use flowers as a repeating or decorative design element, think wallpaper-inspired compositions, textile motifs, or stylised arrangements. Botanical pattern wall prints tend to be more illustrative and scientific in feel, often showing individual plant species with detailed leaves, stems, and seeds. Both work brilliantly on walls, but floral patterns bring more colour and rhythm to a space, while botanicals feel quieter and more studious. If you're filling a blank wall in a living room, floral patterns tend to have more visual impact.
