What size art print works best in an entryway or narrow hallway?

For a typical UK hallway (around 90cm wide), we'd go with a 50x70cm framed print hung at eye level. It's large enough to make an impact without overwhelming the space or getting clipped by elbows and bags. If you've got a wider entrance hall with a console table, step up to 70x100cm for a real statement piece that anchors the wall above it. Our entryway art prints come ready to hang with fixtures attached, so you can have it up within minutes of opening the box.

How do I create a gallery wall in a narrow hallway without it looking cluttered?

The trick is restraint. Pick three to five prints in a single column or a tight two-by-two grid rather than scattering frames across the wall. Keep all frames the same finish (we think black or natural oak works best for hallway gallery wall prints) and leave about 5cm between each frame. Stick to a shared colour palette across the prints so the arrangement reads as one cohesive piece rather than a jumble sale. A vertical arrangement works particularly well in narrow spaces because it draws the eye upward and makes the ceiling feel higher.

Will my entryway prints fade near the front door where sunlight comes in?

This is a fair concern because entryways cop a lot of light, especially south-facing ones with glazed doors. Our framed art prints use UV-protective acrylic glazing that prevents fading even in direct sunlight, and the museum-grade inks we use are rated to last hundreds of years. So you can hang right next to the front door without worrying. The acrylic also means no glare, which matters in a hallway where overhead spotlights or natural light can bounce harshly off standard glass.

I've got a blank wall above my hallway console table that looks unfinished. What should I hang there?

A single large framed print (70x100cm) centred about 15cm above the console is the cleanest, most polished approach. For the subject, we think bold botanicals or calm abstract prints work brilliantly in an entryway because they set a mood without demanding too much attention from someone passing through. Go for warm, muted tones if your hallway is cool-toned or dark, and let the print do the heavy lifting rather than cluttering the console with too many accessories beneath it.

How do I choose entryway art that works with the rest of my home's style?

Your entryway is the opening line of your home, so it should hint at what's to come without repeating it. If the rest of your interior is modern and minimal, lean into clean-lined abstracts or simple photographic prints in a slim black frame. For warmer, more traditional spaces, landscapes or vintage-style illustrations in a natural oak frame bridge the gap nicely. The best art for an entryway doesn't try to tell the whole story; it just sets the right tone. We'd recommend pulling one accent colour from your living room or kitchen and echoing it in the print you choose for the hall.
