How big should a nature print be for my living room wall?
For the wall above a standard sofa (roughly 180-200cm wide), we'd go with a single 70x100cm nature art print for real impact. It should sit about two-thirds the width of your sofa to look intentional rather than lost. If you've got a narrow wall or an awkward space between windows, a 50x70cm portrait-oriented forest or botanical print works beautifully without overwhelming the area. Are botanical prints still on trend, or do they look dated now?
Botanical art prints are more popular than ever, but the style has shifted. Where's the best place to hang nature artwork in my home?
The classic rule is to hang the centre of the print at roughly 57 inches (145cm) from the floor, which is average eye level. But honestly, context matters more than rules. Above a sofa or bed, position the bottom of the frame about 15-20cm above the furniture so it reads as connected to it, not floating. Nature wall art works brilliantly in hallways (a landscape print gives a narrow space a sense of depth), living rooms (above the sofa or on a feature wall), and bathrooms (our UV-protective acrylic glaze means no fading from light).
