Are floral art prints a good choice for a bedroom?
Floral prints are one of the best things you can put on a bedroom wall. They bring softness and visual calm without feeling bland. We'd recommend a large single floral art print (60x80cm or bigger) centred above your headboard rather than a cluster of small frames, which can feel busy in a space meant for rest. Stick to muted tones like dusty pinks, sage greens, or warm creams if you want something that works with neutral bedding. Our framed prints arrive ready to hang with UV-protective glazing, so you won't get glare from a bedside lamp catching the glass.
How large should a floral print be for a living room wall?
For a living room, go bigger than you think. A common mistake is hanging a 30x40cm print on a large wall and wondering why the room still feels empty. If it's going above a sofa, aim for a print that covers roughly two-thirds of the sofa's width. Our large floral art prints go up to 70x100cm, which works beautifully above a standard three-seater. If you want something truly statement-sized, our canvas prints go up to 100x150cm and can be hung unframed for a clean, gallery-like look.
Are floral prints still in style, or do they look dated?
Floral prints are firmly back, and they've been trending consistently for the last few years with no sign of slowing down. The difference between a floral print that looks like a 1990s B&B and one that looks current comes down to style: modern floral prints with bold colour, abstract brushwork, or oversized single-bloom compositions feel fresh and contemporary. Vintage botanical art prints also work brilliantly when paired with a clean modern frame. We'd steer you towards our black or natural oak frames to keep things current rather than ornate.
What colours work best alongside floral wall art?
Pull one secondary colour from the print itself and echo it somewhere in the room. If your floral print has hints of terracotta, a couple of cushions or a throw in a similar warm tone will anchor it immediately. For walls, we think soft whites, warm greys, or deep greens work best behind flower wall art prints. Avoid matching the dominant colour of the print to your wall colour; a peony print on a pink wall cancels itself out. A little contrast is your friend.
How should I frame botanical art prints so they look high-end?
The single biggest thing that separates expensive-looking botanical prints from cheap-looking ones is the frame quality. Thin, warped, or plasticky frames will undermine even the most beautiful artwork. Our botanical art prints come properly fitted in solid FSC-certified wood frames with a thick mount and UV-protective acrylic glaze, all shipped as one piece so nothing arrives misaligned or bubbling. For a classic botanical look, go with a white mount and natural oak frame. For something more modern, a black frame with minimal mount gives clean lines that suit contemporary spaces.
