Framed Art Prints
Skip the trip to the framer. Every print arrives expertly framed, glazed and ready for the wall - no tools, no measuring, no hassle.
Yes, every framed art print ships fully assembled with hanging fixtures already attached. The frame and print come together in one box, properly fitted so there's no warping, bubbling, or DIY assembly. You literally take it out, put a nail in the wall, and hang it. We hear from customers all the time that the quality looks even better in person than it does on screen.
Should I buy a framed or unframed print?
If you want something on the wall today with zero faff, go framed every time. The biggest risk with buying an unframed print and framing it yourself (or getting it done at a local shop) is ending up with a cheap frame that warps, or a print that sits badly behind the glass. Our framed prints use solid FSC-certified wood frames with UV-protective acrylic glazing, so colours won't fade even in direct sunlight. Unframed only really makes sense if you already own a frame you love and know the exact dimensions.
What size framed print do I need for my living room?
For a standard UK sofa (around 180-200cm wide), a single large framed art print of 70x100cm makes a confident statement without overwhelming the wall. The classic guideline is to aim for art that's roughly two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. If you've got a narrower space, like above an armchair or side table, a 30x40cm or 40x50cm print sits perfectly. Don't go too small on a big wall; it'll look like an afterthought.
Do framed prints look better with or without a mount?
For most wall art, a mount (the white border between the print and frame) gives the image breathing room and makes the piece feel more considered. It's especially noticeable at smaller sizes, where a mount stops the art from feeling cramped inside the frame. At larger sizes like 50x70cm and above, you can get away without one because the image itself has enough presence. Our framed art prints include a mount as standard, which we think gives the cleanest, most gallery-quality finish.
How should I hang framed art prints so they look right?
The 57-inch rule (or 145cm) is the one galleries use: hang the centre of the print at roughly eye level, which puts it at about 145cm from the floor. If you're hanging above a sofa or bed, leave around 15-20cm between the top of the furniture and the bottom of the frame so it feels connected to the piece below rather than floating on its own. For a gallery wall, start with your largest framed print in the centre and build outward, keeping 5-8cm between frames for a clean look.
