How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the deep blue feel heavy in a small room?

Not usually. The blue sits in the top half of the composition and the sunlit green shallows lift the lower half, so the piece reads bright overall. In a small room, hang it on a pale wall with daylight nearby and skip dark furniture directly beneath it.

Can the figures be made out clearly, or are they very abstract?

They sit between the two. You can read four small swimmers and their poses, but features and clothing are loose blocks of colour rather than fine detail. From a normal viewing distance it reads as a scene of children at a pool, not a portrait.

Does it work without other artwork around it?

Yes, it is built to hang solo. The composition is balanced across the square and the brushwork is strong enough to hold a wall on its own. Gallery walls tend to fight it — give it space above a sofa, bed or sideboard instead.
