How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Wird das Blau an der Wand kühl oder warm wahrgenommen?
Es wirkt kühl, aber nicht kalt. Die tiefen Blautöne dominieren, aber warme Einsprengsel von Sandweg und Hauttönen verhindern, dass es eisig wirkt. In einem neutralen Raum mit Leinen und hellem Holz fühlt es sich wie ein ruhiger Sommernachmittag statt wie ein winterliches Meer an.

Wirkt die lockere Pinselarbeit auch bei kleineren Größen noch bewusst?
Am besten wirkt es in großer Größe, wo die Pinselarbeit Raum zum Atmen hat. Unter A3 beginnen die gesprenkelten grünen Akzente unruhig zu wirken und die Schwimmer verlieren an Präsenz. Wenn du es klein möchtest, behandle es eher als Nebenstück statt als Hauptwerk an der Wand.

Sind die Figuren detailliert oder impressionistisch?
Impressionistisch. Gesichter und Körper sind mit sicheren Pinselstrichen skizziert, nicht fein ausgearbeitet. Aus der Ferne erkennst du drei Schwimmer, einen Pfad und Bäume, und auch aus der Nähe bleibt die Pinselarbeit locker. Es passt zu dir, wenn du malerische Arbeiten grafischen, scharfen Drucken vorziehst.
