How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Wirkt der cremefarbene Hintergrund schmutzig neben einer strahlend weißen Wand?

Er wirkt eher warm als schmutzig. Der Grund hat einen weichen Papier-Ton, ähnlich wie ungefärbtes Leinen, sodass du auf einer strahlend weißen Wand einen sanften Helligkeitsunterschied siehst. Auf einer kreideweißen oder warmweißen Wand verschwindet er fast, und die schwarzen Stämme wirken, als säßen sie direkt auf dem Putz. Kühles Grau lässt das Papier noch wärmer erscheinen.

Wie groß muss es sein, damit die Details sichtbar werden?

Die kleinen handschriftlichen Beschriftungen und die feinsten Kiefernnadeln kommen ab etwa 90 cm Höhe richtig zur Geltung. In dieser Größe kann jemand, der durch den Flur geht, jeden Baum erkennen. Kleinere Formate funktionieren weiterhin gut als aufrechter Akzent an einer Schreibtischwand oder neben einer Tür, aber die Zeichnung wird dann eher zur Silhouette als zur Studie.

Ist schwarze Tusche im Schlafzimmer zu streng?

Nicht, wenn der Rest des Raums weich bleibt. Das Schwarz nimmt nur einen kleinen Teil des Blatts ein, der Großteil ist helles Papier, daher wirkt das Gesamtbild leicht. Mit Bettwäsche aus Oat-Linen, hellem Holz und warmgrauen oder weißen Wänden fühlt es sich ruhig an. Halte andere schwarze Objekte, wie Metalllampen oder Rahmen, auf eins oder zwei, damit die Bäume im Mittelpunkt bleiben.
