How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

What is the place shown in this picture?

It is Devil's Tower in north-east Wyoming, a huge column of igneous rock rising about 265 metres above the Belle Fourche River valley. The picture is a mid-century linen postcard view, with the ridged rock above a pine forest and a green meadow in front. It became the first US national monument in 1906 and is sacred to many Plains tribes.

Where does such a tall, narrow shape work best?

It is made for slim walls: a gap between two windows, a hallway, beside a door frame or on a stair landing. On a wide wall over a sofa it can look small, so pair it with a second tall piece or keep it to narrower spaces. A medium size suits most hallways, and a larger size works on a double-height stair wall.

Will the colours suit a modern room?

The palette is muted rather than bright: olive and moss greens, a soft powder blue sky and stone-cream rock with a little rust. That sits easily with warm whites, oat linen, walnut and leather, so it works in rustic, farmhouse and transitional rooms. In a stark white minimalist space it reads as a deliberate vintage accent rather than a match.
