How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Macht das Burgunderrot einen kleinen Raum dunkel?

Nicht in einer vernünftigen Größe. Die cremefarbene Figur nimmt einen guten Teil des Bildes ein, sodass die Wand einen warmen Farbbereich mit hellem Zentrum bekommt statt eines dunklen Quadrats. Halte die umliegende Wand Off-White oder Oatmeal, dann wirkt das Rot warm. Problematisch wird es nur an einer Wand, die schon tiefrot oder pflaumenfarben ist, weil der Grund dann seine Kante verliert.

Welche Größe passt über ein Kinderbett oder ein Babybett?

Orientiere dich an etwa der halben bis zwei Dritteln der Breite von Bett oder Gitterbett, das landet meist zwischen 50 und 60 cm im Quadrat. So ist die Katze groß genug, um vom Türbereich aus gelesen zu werden, während das Rot eher als Fläche als als Hintergrund wirkt. Häng es tiefer als im Wohnzimmer, mit der Unterkante etwa einen Meter über dem Boden, damit das Kind es von der Matratze aus sieht.

Passt es auch außerhalb eines Kinderzimmers?

Ja, und die Küche ist das naheliegende zweite Zuhause. Senf und Weinrot passen gut zu Eichentischen, Terrakottagefäßen und cremefarbener Emaille, und der Humor passt in einen Raum, in dem man isst und spricht. Es funktioniert auch an einer Flurwand an der Hintertür, wo ein einzelnes Quadrat auf Augenhöhe dem Raum einen Grund gibt, hingeschaut zu werden.
