How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Vertragen sich die warmen Farben mit einer grauen Wand?

Nein, Grau ist genau der Hintergrund, auf dem es am stärksten wirkt. Senf und Rost wärmen eine kühle graue Wand wie eine Lampe, und das Schieferblau im unteren Bereich greift die Farbe wieder auf, sodass nichts aufgeklebt wirkt. Mittelwarme bis warme Grautöne passen am besten. Sehr blaustichige Grautöne können mit dem Rost kollidieren, also teste am besten zuerst eine Farbmusterprobe neben dem Himmelsbereich.

Wie schmal darf eine Wand dafür sein?

Etwa 50 cm freie Wandbreite sind beim großen Format das praktische Minimum, mit einer Handbreit Luft zu jeder Seite. Darunter wirkt das Bild gequetscht und die Blumen am unteren Rand verlieren ihre Wirkung. Auf einem Treppenpodest oder zwischen zwei Fenstern miss die Wand am schmalsten Punkt, bevor du die Größe wählst.

Braucht es natürliches Licht, damit es gut aussieht?

Nein, es kommt auch ohne gut zurecht. Die goldene Sonne wirkt unter einer Lampe warm, und eine warmweiße Lampe am Abend lässt sie stärker leuchten als Tageslicht. Vermeide direktes kaltweißes Licht, das das Gold flach und gelb wirken lässt. Ein nach Norden ausgerichteter Raum oder ein fensterloser Flur passt eher gut als dass es ein Kompromiss wäre.
