How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Wirken die Farben in einem kleinen Flur zu unruhig?
In einem schmalen Flur bringt die hohe Form Ordnung hinein. Das Auge liest sie als eine Lichtsäule statt als Hunderte von Kreisen, sodass die Lebendigkeit aus normaler Distanz ruhiger wirkt. Halte die Wand selbst schlicht und den Läufer einfarbig, dann wird das Bild zum einen lebendigen Element im Raum statt zu einem von vielen.

Wie hoch sollte es an einer Treppe hängen?
Setz das helle Zentrum auf Augenhöhe für jemanden, der unten an der Treppe steht, was meist bedeutet, dass die Unterkante höher sitzt, als man intuitiv denkt. An einer Wand auf dem Treppenabsatz hängst du es so auf, dass die Oberkante ungefähr auf Höhe des oberen Endes des Geländers sitzt. Lass oberhalb und unterhalb etwas freie Wand, damit die Höhe des Bildes wirken kann.

Bleicht das Gold mit kühlen grauen Wänden?
Gold und Bernstein wirken am besten auf warmgrauen und off-white Wänden, aber auch ein kühles Taubengrau passt, weil das Bild eigene Blau- und Schiefertöne mitbringt, die den Übergang ausgleichen. Sehr kalte, bläulich-weiße Wände solltest du meiden, denn sie lassen das Bernstein schnell orange wirken. Eine warme Lampe in der Nähe löst jede verbleibende Spannung zwischen Wand und Bild.
