How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Wirkt das sanfte Grau in einem nach Norden ausgerichteten Schlafzimmer flach?
Weniger, als du erwarten würdest. Wie breit sollte es über einem Kingsize-Bett sein?
Ziele auf zwei Drittel der Bettbreite, also bei einem Standard-UK-King auf etwa 120 cm. So bleibt links und rechts jeweils eine Handbreit Wand und das Kopfteil wirkt nicht, als trüge es einen Hut. Hänge die Unterkante etwa 20 cm über dem Kopfteil auf. Gehst du unter 100 cm, wird das Boot zu einem Detail, an das du herantreten musst.

Passt es zu warmen Holzmöbeln oder braucht es helles Holz?
Es funktioniert mit beidem, aber die Wirkung verändert sich. Helles oder gestrichenes Holz hält den ganzen Raum im selben kühlen Farbbereich und die Wand wirkt breiter. Warmes Eichen- oder Walnussholz setzt einen Kontrast, und das tiefe Grün in den Bäumen wirkt daran reicher. Vermeide orangefarbenes Kiefernholz und alles mit Messing in der Nähe, das wirkt gegen den Nebel. Stein, Schiefer und Leinen passen in jedem Fall.
