How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Wirkt das Grau-Grün in einem nach Norden ausgerichteten Schlafzimmer kalt?

Wie breit sollte ich es über einem Kingsize-Bett wählen?

Peil 120 bis 140cm Breite an. Ein Kingsize-Kopfteil ist etwa 180cm breit, und das Bild sollte davon zwei Drittel bis drei Viertel abdecken, damit der Horizont auch als Horizont lesbar bleibt und die Boote vom Türbereich aus erkennbar sind. Häng die Unterkante etwa 15cm über das Kopfteil. Unter 100cm wirkt es schnell verloren, und das nimmt der Ruhe die Wirkung.

Passt es in ein Esszimmer mit dunkelgrünen Wänden?

Ja, und sogar sehr gut. Dunkelgrüne Wände greifen die Bäume am Ufer auf, und das helle Wasser wird zum strahlendsten Element im Raum, sodass der Blick zuerst dort landet. Beleuchte es abends eher sanft als mit einer Bilderleuchte, denn die würde den Dunst flacher wirken lassen. Halte das Geschirr schlicht und lass die Wand die Farbe übernehmen.
