How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Welche Größe passt am besten über ein Sofa?
Wähle ungefähr zwei Drittel der Sofabreite. Bei einem Standard-Dreisitzer bedeutet das meist eine große Größe, damit das gemalte Sofa in ähnlicher Länge zu deinem passt und die Katze ungefähr mittig an der Wand sitzt. Hänge die Unterkante etwa 20 bis 25 cm über den Rückenkissen auf, damit es mit den Möbeln wie eine Einheit wirkt.

Zu welchen Farben passt es?
Die Hauptfarben sind Senfgelb, Creme und ein Blaugrün-Blaugrau, dazu kommen eine schwarze Katze und kleine Akzente in Bordeaux und Rot. Es passt gut zu Polstern in Petrol, Ocker oder Bordeaux, zu Nussbaum und Messing sowie zu warmweißen Wänden. Mit kühlen Grautönen und blassen Pastells wirkt es eher hart, also ergänze in einem kühlen Raum ein Senf- oder Rostkissen als verbindendes Element.

Ist es zu verspielt für ein erwachsenes Wohnzimmer?
Der Humor ist eher trocken als kindlich. Die Katze ist ausdruckslos, die Farbpalette gedämpft und retro, und die Komposition ist ruhig und symmetrisch, sodass das Bild gut in ein erwachsenes Wohn- oder Schlafzimmer passt. Am besten wirkt es dort, wo die Einrichtung etwas Wärme und Charakter mitbringt, etwa durch Samt, Holz und gemusterte Textilien.
