How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Wirkt das Petrol in einem nach Norden ausgerichteten Schlafzimmer zu kühl?
Nicht, wenn die Wand dahinter warm ist. Nordlicht flacht Farben ab und lässt das Petrol etwas grauer wirken, was eher beruhigend als kalt ist. Streich die Wand in Warmweiß oder einem weichen Oat, dann nimmt der rosa Sand im unteren Bildbereich diese Wärme auf. Kühle Grautöne plus Nordlicht sind die Kombination, die du vermeiden solltest.

Wie breit sollte es über einem Kingsize-Bett sein?
Ein UK King ist 150 cm breit, also sollte das Kunstwerk etwa 100 cm bis 130 cm breit sein. Unter 100 cm wirkt es verloren und die Surfer werden zu Punkten. Bei 120 cm liegt die Wellenlinie knapp innerhalb der Kopfteilkanten und die Wand wirkt durchdacht. Lass ungefähr 15 bis 20 cm Abstand zwischen Kopfteil und Unterkante.

Kann man die Surfer aus der Ferne erkennen?
Von der Tür aus siehst du zuerst die großen Formen: das türkise Wasser, die weiße Gischtlinie und den hellen Sand. Die Surfer werden erst näher sichtbar, ab etwa zwei Metern, und die beiden Personen am Strand noch später. Genau dieses langsame Entdecken macht den Reiz aus, also häng es am besten dort auf, wohin man sich bewegt statt nur vorbeizugehen.
