Wenn der Februar grau ist und das Licht dünn, bringt dieses Motiv Wärme ins Zuhause. „Unter der Platane“ holt einen Meter sommerliches Blätterdach über das Kopfteil – und der Raum hört auf, auf den Frühling zu warten. Das tiefe Grün setzt ein starkes Statement auf Putzrosa oder Off-White; darunter Salbeibettwäsche, ein Leinenplaid – sonst kein weiteres Grün im Raum. Die Breite ist hier wichtiger als die Höhe: Lassen Sie das Poster die gesamte Bettbreite aufnehmen und so tief hängen, dass das Kopfteil es fast berührt. Nichts anderes an diese Wand. Im Juli tritt es dezent zurück – genau so soll es sein. In den dunklen Monaten ist es das einzige Blatt im Haus. Gedruckt auf Fine-Art-Papier bleiben die zarten, hellen Blattlasuren weich und edel.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Passen die Grüntöne zu einer Wand in Salbei oder Oliv?

Eine Salbeiwand funktioniert, wenn sie heller ist als das Poster. Dann wirkt das tiefe Grün in den Ästen wie Schatten, und die hellen Blatttöne heben sich davon ab. Bei Oliv ist es schwieriger, weil das Khaki in der Rinde dem Farbton zu nahe kommt und das Motiv flacher wirkt. Bei Oliv nimm lieber einen weißen oder Eichenrahmen, um eine klare Trennung zu schaffen.

Wie breit sollte es über einem King-Size-Bett sein?

Ziel sind zwei Drittel der Bettbreite, also bei einem UK King etwa 100 bis 120 cm. Die Äste brauchen diese Breite, damit sie wie eine Baumkrone und nicht wie das Bild einer solchen wirken. Hänge es so auf, dass die Unterkante eine Handbreit über dem Kopfteil sitzt. Höher, und der Abstand zwischen Bett und Poster wirkt schnell wie ein Fehler.

Funktioniert es in einem Raum ohne Gartenblick oder Nordlicht?

Genau dort wirkt es am besten. Nordlicht ist kühl und gleichmäßig, das passt zu den gedämpften Grüntönen und verhindert, dass die hellen Himmelsstellen ausbleichen. In einem Raum ohne Aussicht gibt eine breite Baumkrone über Sofa oder Bett dem Blick einen festen Ruhepunkt. Halte echte Pflanzen von dieser Wand fern, damit die beiden nicht miteinander konkurrieren.
