How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Wirkt es im Januar fehl am Platz an der Wand?
Behandle es wie den Kranz an der Tür. Die meisten hängen es am ersten Dezemberwochenende auf und nehmen es mit den Lichtern wieder ab, danach lagern sie es flach hinter einem Kleiderschrank. Der cremefarbene Grund und das gedeckte Grün wirken nicht aufdringlich, daher fallen ein oder zwei Wochen neben Weihnachten niemandem negativ auf. Für den Einsatz das ganze Jahr über kombiniere es mit einer Winterlandschaft, dann wirkt es saisonal statt strikt festlich.

Wie groß sollte ich für eine Flurwand gehen?
Miss zuerst den freien Bereich. Ein typischer Zwischenraum zwischen Türrahmen und Treppe ist 40 bis 60 cm breit, und ein mittleres, hohes Format füllt ihn, ohne eine der Seiten zu berühren. Wähle nur dann größer, wenn du zwei bis drei Meter Abstand hast, etwa am Fuß einer Treppe mit Blick nach oben. Alles kleiner als medium lässt den Roller von der Haustür aus wie eine Briefmarke wirken.

Beißt sich die rote Schleife mit einer salbeigrünen Wand?
Salbei ist eine der besseren Wände dafür. Das tiefere Grün des Baums geht leicht in der Wandfarbe auf, wodurch die rote Schleife nach vorne tritt und als Erstes ins Auge fällt, wenn du den Flur betrittst. Vermeide eine Wand in kräftigem Mittelrot oder in glänzendem Reinweiß, da beim ersten die Schleife konkurriert und beim zweiten der cremefarbene Grund im Vergleich schmuddelig wirkt.
