How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Wird der dunkle Hintergrund in einem normalgroßen Wohnzimmer zu schwer wirken?

Er wirkt eher reich als schwer, wenn du ihm Raum gibst. Hänge ihn allein an eine Wand, die breiter als 90 cm ist, halte eine warme Lampe in der Nähe, um das Gold hervorzuheben, und vermeide, andere unruhige Kunstwerke daneben zu stapeln. In einem kleinen Raum wähle lieber eine kleinere Größe statt ganz darauf zu verzichten.

Ist das Gold wirklich metallisch, oder ist es gedruckt?

Es ist gedruckt, nicht foliert. Die warmen Goldtöne im wirbelnden Himmel stammen aus dem Pigment des Originals und wurden auf dem Druck wiedergegeben — es gibt also keinen Glanz oder Spiegelung, sondern nur ein tief gemaltes Gold gegenüber dem Nachtblau und Waldgrün.

Funktioniert es an einer hellen Wand, oder braucht es wirklich eine dunkle?

Beides funktioniert, aber unterschiedlich. An einer tiefgrünen, nachtblauen oder anthrazitfarbenen Wand löst sich das Bild in den Raum auf und wirkt einhüllend. An einer hellen Wand liest es sich als klares, gerahmtes Statement — mehr Kontrast, grafischer. Beides ist gut; es hängt von der gewünschten Stimmung ab.
