About This Art

The oak frame matters first; it tells the bedroom you're serious. A gilded crescent moon, hand-drawn clouds and ornament-heavy pines pull the whole wall into a quiet, slow-burning hush. Hang it as a single tall anchor above a low bed or a slim chest of drawers, eye-line just above seated height so the moon sits at the room's natural sight-axis. It pairs with linen bedding, aged brass lamps, deep walnut wood and an unbleached wool rug; the Arts-and-Crafts framing line at the base gives the print a museum-poster authority. Don't drown it in competing pattern — let one wall hold this and the room will settle around it. Behind UV-resistant acrylic in a real oak frame, the gold reads softly, not flashy.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the gold actually metallic, or is it printed?

It's printed. The 'gold' is built from warm ochre and antique-bronze pigments rather than metallic ink or foil, so it reads as soft, painterly gold rather than reflective. That's deliberate — it sits closer to a vintage Arts-and-Crafts poster than a shiny foil print, and it won't catch glare from lamps or windows at awkward angles.

Will the dark sky make a small bedroom feel heavier?

Not if you give it space. The piece reads as one calm focal point rather than a wall of darkness — there's a generous ivory border around the image and the composition lifts upward toward the moon. In a small room, hang it solo on the lightest wall and surround it with pale linen and warm wood; the dark sky will feel cocooning, not closed-in.

Does the 'William Morris' name at the bottom appear on the actual print?

Yes — the typography ('Inspired by the Arts & Crafts Movement / William Morris / Studies in Botanical Ornament') is part of the artwork itself, printed below the image like a museum exhibition poster. It's intentional framing that grounds the piece in its movement; if you'd prefer a clean image only, this isn't the right print for that brief.
