About This Art

No, the soft blue-grey doesn't soften the room. It defines it. A calm sky study becomes the still point on the wall, and everything around it feels a little more considered. Hang it above a low sideboard, a writing desk, or a bed with a linen headboard and let the wall around it stay quiet. Pair with pale timber, washed linen, stoneware and a single fresh stem in a plain vase. Skip loud gallery clusters and heavy patterned wallpaper — this piece wants breathing room, not competition. Printed on premium fine-art paper with a soft matte finish that keeps the brushwork feeling painterly rather than glossy.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsibly
FSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the palette really this soft, or will it look grey on the wall?

It genuinely is soft — cloud white, washed blue and warm cream over a gentle grey ground. On a chalky off-white or pale grey wall it reads as calm daylight rather than dull grey. On a strong dark or warm wall the cool tones stand out more, so a neutral wall is the safer bet if you want that quiet feel.

Will it work over a bed or is it better for a study?

Both work. The horizontal composition sits naturally above a bed with a linen headboard, and the calm palette suits a bedroom. It's equally at home above a writing desk in a study, where the sky-quality gives your eye somewhere restful to land between tasks. Pick the room where the wall around it can stay uncluttered.

Can I pair it with modern furniture, or does it need traditional pieces?

It happily crosses over. Constable's loose brushwork feels surprisingly modern, so it pairs well with pale timber, simple upholstered pieces and clean-lined sideboards. It also sits comfortably in a more traditional English-country room with antique wood and layered textiles. The key is keeping surrounding colours quiet.
