About This Art

Unlike most cityscape art, this doesn't wait for approval. A French village tumbles down to the sea, a black cat watches from the windowsill, and the whole thing looks like a holiday you half-remember. The room around it gets brighter without trying — walls feel warmer, the sofa looks less serious, and any blue or terracotta you already own suddenly makes sense. Hang it where you spend mornings: a kitchen, a sunny hallway, the wall beside a breakfast table. It loves whitewashed walls, pine or oak furniture, and a few terracotta pots in the same room. Don't sit it next to anything stern or grey — it wants company that's equally happy to be on holiday. Printed on thick fine-art paper with rich, holding colour.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the village in the picture a real place?

It reads as Collioure, the small fishing village on the French Mediterranean coast just north of the Spanish border. The whitewashed houses, terracotta rooftops and steep drop to the sea are the giveaways. It's the same village that pulled Matisse and Derain south in 1905, though this is a contemporary illustration rather than a period piece.

Will the busy flowers and detail look chaotic on a small wall?

It's a busy image, so give it a little breathing room. On a narrow wall, go for the smaller size and leave clear space either side rather than crowding it with shelves or other frames. Above a console or a slim sideboard with one plant below works better than a cluttered gallery wall.

Does the print look good in a cool, grey-toned room?

Honestly, not its best home. The terracotta, mustard and warm whites want a warmer room — pine, oak, off-white walls, natural fibres. In a cool grey scheme the orange roofs will fight everything else. If your room runs cool, look for something with more blue and less terracotta.
