About This Art

Not because it's deep green, but because it refuses to fade back. The little hamster at the centre pulls every eye in the room, and the dense leafy border keeps it from feeling fussy.

Put it up and a quiet wall starts feeling considered. The dark backdrop gives the off-white background of the poster something to push against, so the whole piece reads as warm rather than busy.

It suits a study, a hallway, or a cottage-leaning living room. Hangs comfortably above a low sideboard, between two narrow windows, or at the top of a stair landing where people pause.

Pair with oak or warm walnut, linen in cream or oat, a touch of aged brass, and stoneware in muted greens or clay. A trailing houseplant nearby leans into the botanical mood without competing.

Skip the icy greys and high-gloss black lacquer — they fight the warm, hand-drawn feeling. Also avoid hanging it beside another heavily patterned piece; this one already does the talking. Printed on premium fine-art paper for crisp leafwork and steady warm tones.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the typography part of the print or can I get the image without the exhibition text?

The exhibition text is part of the design — the William Morris title at the top and the South Kensington details at the bottom are baked into the poster. It's meant to read as a vintage museum poster, so the type is part of the charm rather than a frame around a separate image.

Will the dark backdrop behind the hamster look heavy on a small wall?

The dark is only a halo behind the hamster, ringed by the warm cream poster background, so the piece reads warm overall rather than heavy. On a small wall in a study or hallway, that contrast actually helps the hamster pop without the whole print feeling dense.

Does the hamster face straight on, or is the eye-line off to one side?

The hamster looks directly out at the viewer, dead centre, holding a small flower. That means the print works well on a symmetrical wall — centred above a console, desk, or between two windows — rather than off to one side of a sofa.
