About This Art

On a north-facing afternoon, the soft sage green looks almost illegally fresh. The white swan settles into the leaves, the small blossoms catch the light, and the whole wall starts to feel a little more considered.

What changes: the room calms down. Walls that read flat or chilly pick up a quiet green undertone, and the cream ground stops a neutral scheme feeling thin. The exhibition lettering gives it a bit of structure without turning the space into a gift shop.

Where to hang: bedrooms, reading corners, hallways, dressing rooms. Above a bed, a low chest of drawers, or a slim console near the front door. Eye level for the lettering to read.

What to pair: linen and velvet upholstery, oak or walnut timber, aged brass, cream stoneware, a wool rug in oat or moss. An oak frame keeps it warm; a black frame sharpens it up.

What not to do: don't drown it in other heavy botanicals — give it room to breathe. Best as a soloist or with one quiet companion.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does the sage green read warm or cool on the wall?

It reads warm. The green sits closer to olive and soft moss than to mint or grey-green, so it works alongside cream, oat, oak and warm whites. In a very cool, blue-grey room it can feel slightly out of place, but in a neutral or warm scheme it settles in quickly.

Is the exhibition lettering distracting, or does it read as part of the design?

It reads as part of the design. The 'William Morris' title and exhibition details sit cleanly above and below the swan panel, giving the piece structure rather than competing with the image. At eye level the lettering is legible without dominating, which is why it suits bedrooms and hallways rather than gallery walls.

Will it work above a bed, or is it better in a hallway?

Both work. Above a bed it acts as a calm, vertical anchor and pairs well with linen bedding and oak. In a hallway, hung over a slim console at standing eye level, it gives a welcoming first impression. The portrait orientation suits narrower walls in either room.
