Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Yes. AMSTERDAM sits across the lower third in tall thin capitals, with Netherlands beneath it in a small script. Both are part of the artwork and aren't removable. If you want a clean, text-free canal scene, this isn't the right piece.

Not usually. The warm brown brickwork and olive trees carry plenty of warmth, and the cream sits close to most off-white walls. It tends to balance well in rooms with oak, walnut or leather. In a heavily cool grey room it will read brighter and a bit more poster-like.

Either works. In a hallway it greets you at eye level above a console. Behind a desk it gives you something to look up at — a small holiday view between emails. The portrait shape suits narrow walls in both cases.
