About This Art

What's the nursery missing? Soft cream with some nerve. This Beatrix Potter scene of Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail gathering blackberries does more than look sweet — it sets the tone for the whole room.

The room softens around it. Cream backgrounds keep everything calm, and the warm brown rabbits give a small, friendly anchor for the eye. Walls stop feeling blank without turning busy.

Hang it above a cot, a low changing unit, or a reading corner armchair. Eye-level for a seated grown-up works best — that way the child sees it from the floor too.

Pairs well with painted wood, woven baskets, linen, soft wool rugs and other classic storybook art. Older Beatrix Potter plates sit very happily next to it.

Don't drown it in primary plastic toys or loud cartoon prints on the same wall. It's a quiet bit of nostalgia and works best when given a little space. Printed on premium fine-art paper.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the cream background actually cream, or does it read more yellow?

It's a soft, warm cream — closer to old paper than to butter or magnolia. Against a cool grey wall it will lean slightly yellow, so it sits more comfortably on chalky off-white, soft sage, oat or warm white walls than on cool, blue-toned ones.

Will my child actually be able to see the rabbits from the cot or the floor?

The three rabbits are clearly drawn and read well from a couple of metres away, but the smaller details — the birds, the blackberries, the basket — are quite fine. Hang it low enough that a seated adult is at eye-level and a standing toddler can pick out the small bits up close.

Does it work in a gender-neutral nursery?

Yes. The palette is cream, warm brown and muted green — no pink, no pale blue — and the subject is three rabbits and some birds. It reads as a calm, classic nursery image rather than one aimed at boys or girls.
