About This Art

From the doorway, the loose grid reads clean. Up close, not polite. Each shell carries its own scrape, gap and ink bleed — the marks of a real hand-printed block, not a tidy clip-art set.

In a quiet room, the soft blue lifts the sandy cream background and pulls the whole wall a half-step cooler. The piece settles, but it doesn't disappear.

It hangs naturally above a basin, a small console, a chest of drawers in a guest bedroom, or in a coastal hallway where it gets light from a side window.

Pair it with pale oak, washed linen, off-white ceramics and brushed chrome. Rattan or jute will warm the cool blue without fighting it.

Avoid hanging it next to busy nautical prints or wordy beach signs — the shell grid is the quiet one, and it wants room to breathe. Printed on premium fine-art paper, with optional real-wood framing.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the soft blue look washed out on a white bathroom wall?

It reads softer on bright white walls but doesn't disappear — the sandy cream background gives the blue something to push against. If your bathroom is very white and very bright, a pale oak frame helps anchor it. On off-white, lime-washed or pale plaster walls, the blue lifts cleanly.

How big does the wall need to be for this to work?

Around 60cm of clear wall width is the comfortable minimum at medium size. Above a standard basin or a low chest of drawers, medium is the sweet spot. On wider walls or above a double basin, size up rather than pairing — the six-shell grid already reads as a set.

Does it work in a room that isn't beachy?

Yes. The block-print texture and muted blue keep it from feeling themed. It sits happily in farmhouse, Mediterranean and transitional rooms — anywhere with pale wood, linen and warm neutrals. It only starts to feel beachy if you stack it with rope, driftwood signs or starfish ornaments.
