About This Art

For a bedroom full of curves, this cityscape brings the check. A small blue bookshop sits on a sandy square, surrounded by tiny figures going about their day. The room slows down around it. Hang it where you read — over a bedside table, above a bench in the hall, or beside a quiet reading chair. Pair it with pale oak, linen, cream ceramics and a soft rug. It likes the company of warm lamplight and a stack of books on the floor. Don't crowd it with louder graphic prints or anything fighting for attention — the joke is in the quiet detail. On premium fine-art paper, the textured brushwork stays soft and storybook-warm.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the sky-blue shopfront clash with a warm-toned room?

The blue is soft and muted, sitting against a sandy cream background that takes up most of the picture. In rooms with terracotta, cream or warm brown, it reads as a single calm colour pop rather than a clash. It only struggles in rooms already running hot in red, orange and mustard with no cooler tones at all.

Can you actually see what the little figures are doing?

Up close, yes — there are people sitting on benches, a child running, birds on the ground, someone reading on the steps. From across the room, they read as gentle dots and dabs of movement. That's why it suits spots where you sit nearby, like a reading chair or bedside, more than a far-wall feature.

Does it work as a single piece or does it need pairing?

It holds a wall on its own easily — there's enough going on in the painting itself. If you do pair it, keep companions quiet: a small botanical study, a soft landscape, or another naive illustration in the same warm palette. Avoid pairing it with high-contrast graphic prints, which will flatten the painterly feel.
