Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

It reads as a calm, settled dark rather than a flat black, so it tends to make small rooms feel cocooning rather than cramped. Keep the surrounding textiles in cream, linen or soft rust and leave a bit of breathing space around the frame — the print will anchor the wall without closing it in.

The peony fills the lower two-thirds and sits roughly centred, with the butterfly resting on the upper-right petals. The visual weight pulls slightly up and right, so it hangs best on a wall where you can centre it horizontally — between two doors, above a headboard, or over a console.

The background is detailed but low contrast — dark blue leaves on a darker blue ground, with a few small fruit. It can hold its own next to plain linen or a small-scale stripe, but it will compete with bold patterned wallpaper or large floral bedding. Keep one of those two surfaces quiet.
