About This Art

Most rooms sit on one side of warm or cool. This one refuses to pick. The hot pink and yellow push heat out from the centre, and the sky blue in the corners cools the edges, so a white-walled flat stops feeling like a waiting room without going full sunset. Hang it on the wall facing the window in a living room with a grey sofa. Grey is the point. Against a grey wool weave the pink reads hotter and the blue reads cleaner, and the sofa looks like a decision rather than a default. Keep the wood pale, birch or ash, and let one yellow cushion answer the centre. In a north-facing room it does the job the radiator cannot. South-facing rooms need it smaller, or the heat doubles up. On canvas the colour runs to the edges and the whole thing floats off the wall.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the pink clash with my grey sofa?

The opposite. Grey is the best thing you can put under it. Hot pink against a mid grey weave looks hotter, the blue corners look cleaner, and the sofa stops looking like the safe choice. The trouble starts with warm greys that lean brown, which muddy the pink. Cool grey, charcoal or plain white all work.

What size should I go for in a hallway?

Go to about 50 to 60cm wide if the hallway is under a metre across. The rays need a bit of distance to read as one shape, and a hallway gives you that as you walk towards it. Larger than 70cm in a narrow space and the pink starts to feel like it is coming at you. On a wider landing you can go up a size.

Does the grainy texture show up on the wall?

Yes, and it is the point. From across the room you see a clean starburst. From a metre away the colour breaks into speckle, like an old poster run through a duplicator. The effect is strongest at medium sizes, where the grain is visible but not coarse. It gives flat colour a bit of hand-made texture without any brushstrokes.
