About This Art

February is when a hallway needs this most. The garden outside has nothing to offer, and a tall run of deep pink and dark red blooms on inky blue does the flowering for you. Give it the narrow wall by the front door, against warm off-white paint, or dark green if you are feeling brave. The blue in the pattern deepens beside old oak floorboards and a wool runner. Hang it a little lower than instinct says, so the lowest flowers sit near coat-hook height. Nothing else beside it. By May the garden catches up, and you will still want the hallway this full. On fine-art paper the tiny white sprigs in the ground stay sharp.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the pink and red look too loud in a small hallway?

Less than you would expect. The inky blue ground takes up most of the surface and holds the pinks and reds in check, so from the doorway the piece reads as a deep, dark panel with colour inside it. Keep the wall paint plain, off-white or dark green, and avoid a patterned runner directly beneath it. The hallway will feel dressed rather than crowded.

How tall should I go for a stair wall?

Go larger than feels natural. The flowers in Cray are small within the pattern, and at a modest height they blur into texture. At around a metre tall or more, each bloom becomes visible from the bottom step and the piece reads as a garden rather than a fabric swatch. On a landing, leave a hand's width of clear wall above the handrail line.

Does the pattern read from across the room or only up close?

Both, which is the point of it. From three metres you see the sweep of pale stems climbing the piece and the rhythm of pink and red heads. Up close you find the tiny white sprigs, the dotted leaves and the small cream buds tucked between them. That double reading is why it suits a hallway, where you pass it at both distances every day.
