About This Art

When the living room feels over-arranged, this kind of cityscape helps. It loosens things up without dragging the whole room into holiday-souvenir territory.

The colours do the heavy lifting. Mustard, rust-red, navy and terracotta sit against a soft cloudy sky, and the reflections in the water add a second layer of warm tone lower down the print. Walls go from flat to friendly.

It hangs well in a hallway, above a console, or in a home office that needs a bit of life. Portrait shape means it sits happily on narrow walls between doorways or windows.

Pair with oak or walnut timber, woven baskets, linen and a little brass. A navy or rust cushion picks up the harbour palette without overdoing it.

Avoid hanging it next to another loud travel poster — one strong city scene per wall is plenty. Stretched over a wooden frame and ready to hang straight out of the box.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Does the poster actually show Nyhavn, or just a generic harbour?

It's clearly based on Nyhavn in Copenhagen — the tall, narrow 17th-century townhouses in mustard, rust, navy and white with steep terracotta rooftops, plus the small wooden boats moored along the canal. It's a stylised illustration rather than a photograph, but the location is recognisable.

Will the rust and mustard tones clash with a cool grey or blue room?

It depends on how cool the room is. The print has plenty of navy and slate grey alongside the warm tones, so it bridges nicely if there's any wood, linen or warm metal in the room. In a strictly cool, pale grey scheme with no warmth at all, it will read as a deliberate accent rather than a quiet one.

Is the 'DENMARK' text large or subtle on the print?

The word DENMARK sits in bold dark lettering across the bottom of the poster, on the cream border. It's a clear part of the design rather than a small caption, so the print reads as a travel poster first. If you'd prefer the harbour scene without text, this isn't the one.
