About This Art

The black frame matters first; it tells the hallway you're serious. Once it's up, the wall stops being a corridor and starts being a room — the dog's forward pull gives the whole space direction, and the soft grey-cream background keeps it quiet rather than loud. Hang it along a hallway run, above a low bench, or off-centre above a sofa so the running motion has space to move into. Pair it with aged leather, linen, wool rugs and simple stoneware. Don't crowd it with busy patterned wallpaper or a tight cluster of small frames — the movement needs empty wall on the side the dog is heading. Printed on premium fine-art paper, so the brushwork and canvas texture stay crisp.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsibly
FSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will it look odd if I hang it off-centre?

No — it usually looks better. The dog runs to the right, so shifting the frame slightly left of the wall's centre leaves open space ahead of him and the run reads properly. On a long hallway wall, place it where you first see it as you walk in rather than dead centre.

Does it work in a room with almost no colour?

Yes, that's where it's strongest. The palette is soft grey-cream with dark navy, black and white, so it adds contrast and energy without introducing a new colour. Against off-white or grey walls with linen, leather and wool, it becomes the focal point while everything else stays quiet.

Is a small size enough, or should I go larger?

Go larger if the wall allows. The stride runs almost edge to edge, so at small sizes the legs and the pale background get compressed and the sense of speed drops. Large works best above a sofa or along a hallway; medium suits a study wall or above a narrow console.
