About This Art

We like a garden scene best when it comes with a little abrasion. The cottage boards here are weathered, the path is scuffed sand, and the hydrangeas are piled on in thick, unfussy strokes. Put it up and a flat wall gains depth: the soft blue flowers lift the room, while the grey boards and dark green leaves keep it grounded rather than sugary. It works above a bed, along a hallway, or between windows in a room that gets plenty of daylight. Pair it with linen, pale painted wood, cane and cream stoneware. Avoid crowding it with strong pattern or hot colour on the same wall — this one wants breathing room. On canvas the ridged brushwork reads almost like a real painting on the wall.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the pale blues still show up in a north-facing room?

They hold up better than you might think, because the dark green leaves and grey cottage boards give the picture structure. In low light the blues read softer and greyer, so it feels quieter rather than washed out. If your room is genuinely dim, size up a little and hang it on the brightest wall you have.

Is it too much for a small hallway?

No. The composition is upright, which suits a narrow wall, and the sandy path along the bottom gives your eye somewhere to rest. In a tight hallway go for a medium size at eye level above a console or a low bench, and keep the rest of the wall clear so the flower heads have room.

Does it work in a room that isn't coastal?

Yes. Read as flowers rather than seaside, it sits happily in a country or quietly traditional room with linen, painted wood and cream ceramics. The only scheme it fights is a hot one — deep terracotta, mustard or strong red walls pull the soft blue in the wrong direction.
