About This Art

Some animal prints match a room. This one resets its pecking order. A ginger cat sits dead-centre in a tangle of red roses and green leaves on a deep blue ground, dressed up as a vintage London Underground exhibition poster. The room gains a focal point and a sense of humour at the same time — warm orange, deep red and rich green pulling everything towards one wall. Hang it in a hallway, a downstairs loo, a kitchen nook or a study where a bit of personality is overdue. It pairs well with painted walls in chalky off-white or soft sage, oak or walnut furniture, brass switches and linen upholstery. Don't pair it with another busy pattern or a second strong character print — the canvas already brings plenty of texture and weight.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Is there visible text on the print, and how prominent is it?

Yes — the lower third reads 'Cotton Prints Exhibition', 'William Morris Arts & Crafts Pioneer', station names and exhibition dates, in the style of a vintage Underground poster. The type is clearly legible but sits below the cat, so the artwork still reads as a picture first and a poster second.

Will the deep blue background feel heavy in a small room like a downstairs loo?

No — the blue only fills the upper image area, and the lower third is off-white with black type, which keeps the overall weight balanced. In a small painted room it tends to feel cocooning rather than oppressive, especially with chalky off-white or soft sage walls around it.

Does the ginger cat read as a specific breed?

It reads as a classic orange tabby with green eyes and faint stripes along the body and tail. There are no markings or collar details that lock it to a specific breed, so it works as a general ginger cat tribute rather than a portrait of one particular animal.
