On a north-facing afternoon, the black ink looks almost illegally fresh. This is one of those pieces that sharpens a room rather than softens it. Put it on a plain wall and the whole corner suddenly reads as considered: the white ground bounces light back, and the tangle of black line gives your eye somewhere firm to land. It sits happily above a desk, in a hallway, or on a narrow wall between windows where a colourful piece would fight the view. Pair it with pale wood, black metal legs, linen seating and grey stoneware. Avoid hanging it next to other heavy black-and-white graphics — two loud line pieces side by side cancel each other out. Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will it still look like a cat from across the room?

Yes. The scribble is densest around the head, chest and tail, so from two or three metres the shape reads clearly as a sitting long-haired cat. Up close it breaks into loops and crossings. That shift is part of the appeal, but it does mean very small sizes lose the effect — medium upwards is safest.

Is this specifically a Norwegian Forest cat?

It is drawn as a long-haired cat with the heavy ruff, tufted ears and thick tail you would expect from that type, but the loose scribble keeps it general rather than a breed study. If you own a fluffy long-haired cat of any kind, it will read as familiar.

Does it need a lot of wall space around it?

More than you might think. The white ground is part of the composition, so the piece works best with clear wall on both sides — around 15 to 20cm minimum, more if you can. Crowded between a shelf and a door frame, the linework starts to look like visual noise rather than a drawing.
