About This Art

In the 1930s, this would have felt radical. It still does. A vintage-style travel poster of St Andrews captured in warm peach, deep teal and rolling green.

Put it up and the wall warms up. The peach sky lifts the light in the room, while the dark headland and golf links add weight at the bottom so the whole thing feels grounded rather than floaty.

It sits well in a study, a hallway or above a low sideboard in the living room. Eye-level works best — the skyline reads cleanly when you can take it in straight on.

Pair it with oak or walnut furniture, tan leather, linen, and a bit of brass. Tweed and muted tartan also work without tipping into theme-park.

The canvas gives the flat colour blocks a softer, slightly woven finish that suits the poster style well.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Is the town skyline recognisable as St Andrews?

Yes. The tall tower on the left reads as St Salvator's, with the cathedral ruins and the row of stone townhouses lining the edge of the Old Course. Anyone who's spent time there will spot it straight away, and the 'St Andrews' lettering at the top makes it clear for everyone else.

Will the warm peach sky clash with a cool grey or blue room?

It can. The peach is warm and fairly dominant in the top third, so it tends to fight cool grey walls and crisp blue accents. It looks far better against off-white, cream, warm grey or soft green walls, and alongside oak, walnut or tan leather rather than chrome and ice-blue.

Does it work as a single piece, or does it need a pair?

It holds a wall on its own thanks to the vertical composition and the strong skyline band. If you do want a pair, a second travel poster of a different Scottish town in the same warm palette works well — avoid putting two near-identical St Andrews views next to each other.
