About This Art

Hang it on a chalky off-white wall and the background nearly vanishes. What stays is the tree itself, black and orange-red, standing on the paint like a cut-out. That is the effect to chase. Most festive pictures fight the wall with glitter and gold. This one argues with plain emulsion and wins, because there is nothing between the shapes and the surface. Put it in the entryway at eye level, where coats and boots already make the space feel busy, and the tree gives the mess a focal point. Keep the wall bare otherwise. A dark green or navy wall works too, though the tree then loses its edge and reads as a pattern. Green foliage on the hall table, one red candle, nothing else in orange. On canvas the painted ground runs round the sides, so it hangs without a frame.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the orange-red clash with a red sofa or red cushions?

It depends on the red. The stars lean orange, so a true pillar-box red beside it looks slightly off and a burgundy looks muddy. Rust, brick and tomato shades sit comfortably. If your sofa is a cool red, hang the tree on a different wall and let one rust throw carry the link across the room instead.

Does it work on a dark green or navy wall as well as a pale one?

Yes, but the effect changes. On a chalky off-white wall the tree stands out like a cut-out and the room reads crisp. On deep green or navy the ground shows as a pale block and the piece becomes a framed picture rather than a shape on the wall. Both work, the pale wall is bolder.

What size should I choose for a hallway by the front door?

Medium is the sweet spot. In a narrow hall you see it from two or three metres at most, and at that distance the stars and dots stay clear without the tree looming over coats and boots. Go large only if the wall is more than a metre wide and empty, otherwise the space feels crowded.
