Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

It shouldn't. The background is a warm off-white rather than pure white, and the ink marks are soft grey through to black, so the piece has some warmth built in. On a bright white wall it reads as a quiet drawing rather than a hard graphic — a slim black frame or float frame will help it settle.

As a landscape piece, it wants a bit of breathing room. Around 90 cm of clear wall is a sensible minimum for a medium size, and a wall of 120 cm or more lets the birds spread out properly above a bed, sideboard or desk. Avoid tucking it into a narrow gap between furniture.

Warm woods suit it well. Pale oak, ash and even walnut pick up the softness in the ink wash, and linen or stoneware adds to the calm. It's less at home against very glossy, cool interiors — think matte finishes and natural textures rather than chrome and lacquer.
