About This Art

Some recipe prints match a room. This one resets its pecking order. The tiramisù sits centre-stage on its blue-rim plate, with the eggs, mascarpone, moka pot and ladyfingers arranged around it like a friendly cooking lesson.

Put it up and the kitchen feels more lived-in. It gives the room a focal point that isn't a clock or a chalkboard, and it tells guests, gently, that someone here actually cooks.

Hangs best on a clear stretch of wall above a coffee station, a small dining table, or a run of open shelving. Eye-level, not crammed up by the ceiling.

Pairs well with warm wood, cream tiles, stoneware, and anything brass. Looks at home next to a real moka pot or a jar of biscotti.

Don't bury it behind a busy magnetic board or a wall of fridge magnets — give it a bit of breathing room. Printed on thick fine-art paper with a soft matte finish.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the handwritten text actually readable from across the room?

Yes, at medium size and above. The ingredient labels and short instructions are sized to read from a metre or two away. If you're hanging it in a larger open-plan kitchen, go up a size so the writing stays legible from the sofa side of the room.

Will the warm browns clash with cool grey or white cabinetry?

It can feel a bit lonely against pure cool grey with no warm anchor. If your kitchen leans cool, bring in one warm element nearby — an oak chopping board, a stoneware bowl, a brass tap — and the print will tie in. Against cream, oak, or pine, it works straight away.

Does it work in a dining room as well as a kitchen?

Yes. It sits nicely above a sideboard or small console in a dining room, especially one used for relaxed family meals. The recipe format is a friendly conversation-starter at the table, and the warm palette suits candlelit dinners as much as morning coffee.
