About This Art
Call it moody if you want; we call it better walls. This is a watercolour London pub front in dark green and warm brick, with soft painted edges that fade into white. Put it up and the wall stops being a gap. The dark green frontage gives a hallway or kitchen a bit of weight, and the gold lettering catches lamplight in the evening. It works at eye level in a narrow hallway, above a sideboard, or in a snug corner of a living room. Pair it with aged leather, brass switch plates, pine or walnut furniture and deep green or brick-red paint. Don't crowd it with loud pattern or bright primary colours; the greenery and lettering need a bit of quiet around them. As a stretched canvas the edges soften slightly and it hangs flush without glare.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?
Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.
You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.
How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

What's your return policy?
If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.
We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.
Is the pub name and street sign clearly readable?
Yes. The pub name across the fascia, the smaller freehouse lettering and the Sherwood Street sign are all painted in. At medium size and above they read easily from a metre or two away. If you go very small, the fascia name stays clear but the finer menu-board and street-sign text softens into the watercolour.
Will it look right on a dark green or brick-red wall?
It will. The frontage in the picture is a similar deep green, so it reads as a tonal match rather than a clash, and the off-white surround stops it disappearing into the paint. On brick-red walls the warm upper storeys tie in nicely. A black frame gives it a clean edge against either colour.
Does the white border around the painting need a mount?
No. The soft faded edge is part of the artwork, so it already sits inside a generous off-white surround. A mount is optional and only adds breathing room if you want the piece to feel larger on the wall. Without one it still looks finished and intentional.
