About This Art

'Too safe,' said nobody standing in front of dark green. Tall pine trunks march across the foreground in flat, hand-cut shapes, with mustard yellow, sky blue and a flash of soft pink behind them.

It brings quiet, graphic colour into a room without shouting. Walls feel more considered, and the corner it lives in starts to anchor the rest of the space.

Hangs well above a low sideboard, a reading chair, or at the end of a hallway where the eye lands on it as you walk in. Eye level, plenty of breathing room.

Pair with pale oak or walnut, linen upholstery, stoneware in green or cream, and a single warm lamp. Brass works; chrome doesn't.

Don't crowd it with other busy patterns — this one wants room to do its job. The wrap-around edge gives a softer, more relaxed finish than glazed paper.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

Will the dark green trunks feel heavy in a small room?

Less than you'd think. The trunks are vertical and well spaced, with plenty of sky blue and mustard between them, so the eye keeps moving. In a smaller room, give it some empty wall around the print rather than crowding it with shelves or a busy sofa, and it reads as calm rather than dense.

Does this work as a single piece, or does it need a partner?

It's built to work on its own. The flat shapes and strong vertical lines give it enough presence to hold a wall solo. Pairing it usually weakens it — if you must, keep the partner quiet and in similar tones, never another statement piece.

What wall colour does it sit best against?

Chalky off-whites, warm creams and soft greens all work. The dark trunks need a lighter wall behind them to keep the contrast clean. Avoid hanging it on a deep colour wall — the trunks lose their edge and the mustard band stops doing its job.
