About This Art

Unlike most coastal photography, this doesn't wait for approval. A swim ladder cut into honey-coloured rock, clear blue-green water, ripples catching late-afternoon sun — it brings a real Mediterranean morning indoors. Hang it in a bathroom and the room feels cooler and quieter the moment you walk in. It also works well above a bed, at the end of a hallway, or beside a basin where you want a window onto somewhere warmer. Pair it with linen, travertine, pale oak and soft plaster walls. Stoneware in sand and clay tones picks up the rocks; brushed brass picks up the lowering light on the water. Don't crowd it with busy florals or hot brights — the calm here does the heavy lifting. Printed on premium fine-art paper for crisp tonal depth.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the warm rock tones clash with cool grey bathroom tiles?

It can sit fine, but it sings against warmer surfaces — travertine, limestone, off-white plaster, pale oak. If your bathroom is cool grey throughout, lean into the contrast with a black frame and warm brass or aged-nickel taps, otherwise the print will feel like it's been dropped in from a different room.

Is the sea actually blue or green in this photograph?

Both, and it shifts with the light in your room. In bright daylight you'll read more clear green over the shallows; in lamp-lit evenings the deeper water reads as a softer blue-green. That's part of why it works in a sunlit bathroom — the water in the print changes through the day.

Does the portrait shape work above a standard double bed?

Yes, as a single tall anchor centred on the headboard wall, especially if your bed is dressed in linen or soft neutrals. For a king or super-king, consider going a size up so the print holds the wall, or pair it with a second calm coastal piece of similar height.
