How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

The figure has no face — is that intentional?

Yes. The portrait is deliberately faceless, built from flat colour blocks rather than features. It reads as a shape and a posture rather than a likeness, which is why it sits more like graphic art on a wall than a personal portrait. If you want detail and expression, this isn't the right piece.

Will the olive green clash with warm cream or beige walls?

No — the olive sits comfortably against warm off-white, cream and beige. Both tones share a warm, muted base, so the print settles in rather than fighting the wall. It's harder work on cool grey or stark white walls, where the off-white background can read a little flat.

Does it work above a bed, or is it better elsewhere?

It works well above a bed, especially a low oak or linen-upholstered headboard. The vertical composition fills the space without crowding, and the muted palette stays calm in a bedroom. It's equally at home above a slim hallway console or a small desk in a home office.
