How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the dark shape pure black, or is there warmth in it?

It reads as a deep charcoal rather than flat black — there's a slight warmth and a matte, grainy texture from the ink-soaked paper. Against the chalky cream ground it feels solid but not cold, which is part of why it sits well in warm-neutral rooms with oak or walnut timber.

Will this look too heavy in a small room?

The dark form is large but the rest of the composition is mostly cream and warm stone, so visually it breathes more than a fully dark print would. In a small room, give it a clear wall on its own — above a low piece of furniture rather than crammed between shelves — and it will feel calm rather than heavy.

Does it work in portrait orientation only, or can it hang horizontally?

It's designed as a portrait composition — the tall dark shape reads top-to-bottom and the smaller blocks balance under it. Hanging it sideways breaks the logic of the collage, so we'd keep it vertical, above a console, sideboard or bed where the height has somewhere to go.
