How do I frame an art print?

  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Is the background pattern busy enough to clash with patterned wallpaper?

It can. The cream botanical pattern is fairly active across the whole background, so it sits best on plain or very subtly textured walls. Against bold wallpaper, the two patterns will fight for attention and the cat loses its focal punch. A quiet cream, off-white or soft taupe wall is ideal.

Does the print include the exhibition text along the bottom?

Yes. The lower section reads 'Cotton Prints Exhibition — William Morris, Arts & Crafts Pioneer' with mock Underground station and opening-hours type. It's part of the poster's character, so if you'd prefer a clean image without lettering, this isn't the right piece.

Will the cream background look yellow in a cool, north-facing room?

The background is a warm cream with a soft taupe pattern, so in cool north light it will lean noticeably warm against bright whites or cool greys. In warmer rooms with oak, linen and lamplight it reads as soft and inviting; in cool, blue-grey schemes it can feel out of step.
