How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the dark background look heavy in a small hallway?

It can, if the hallway is also dark and unlit. The print works best where there's warm lamplight nearby — a wall lamp, a console lamp, or a window with afternoon light. On a deep green or chalky off-white wall it actually opens the space up rather than closing it in.

Does the exhibition text read clearly at normal hanging distance?

At the large size, yes — the 'William Morris' title and 'South Kensington' line are easy to read from across a hallway. At smaller sizes the smaller dates and opening hours start to soften, but the overall poster look still reads at a glance.

Will it clash with patterned wallpaper or a strong rug?

Probably. The peacock and roses are already doing a lot of work, so it sits best on a plain painted wall — deep green, off-white, soft clay or chalky black all work. If your wallpaper is busy, hang it somewhere else and let one pattern win.
