How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the bright blue feel too cold in a north-facing room?

The sea blue is deep rather than icy, and the off-white walls and warm sand-pink shadows soften it. In a north-facing room it reads cool but not chilly — pairing it with warm timber, linen and a lamp at low level keeps the overall feel balanced.

Does the composition lead the eye somewhere specific?

Yes — the steps drop down the centre of the frame and pull your eye toward a small boat on the sea. That means it works best hung straight on, slightly above eye level, on a wall you walk toward rather than past at an angle.

Is the pink bougainvillea a strong colour in the print?

It's there on both sides but it's a soft, sun-faded pink rather than a hot magenta. It reads as an accent, not a focal point, so the dominant impression is still white walls and blue sea.
