How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Will the deep greens and near-black feel too heavy in a small room?

It's a confident piece, but the cream background and pale sky stop it tipping into gloom. In a smaller room, hang it on a lighter wall — chalky off-white or soft sage — and keep the area around it uncluttered so the poster has room to breathe.

Does the typography read clearly from across the room?

Yes — 'William Morris' and 'South Kensington' are the largest type and stay legible from a few metres away. The smaller exhibition details soften into texture at distance, which is part of the vintage-poster look rather than a flaw.

Is this better above a desk or in a hallway?

Both work. Above a desk it acts as a quiet focal point for a study; in a hallway it sets a confident, traditional tone as you come through the door. The vertical format suits either — just keep at least 60cm of clear wall width.
